Flite Fest FAQ
+ Do I have to be a pilot to attend?
Certainly not! In fact, many accomplished pilots come to the event just to spend time with friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and spectate the event. All visitors and the general public are welcome at the event as spectators at a reduced price.
+ Can I volunteer at Flite Fest?
Yes! Volunteers are a key part of what makes Flite Fest great! Please visit the Volunteer Page for more information or if you would like to sign up to volunteer.
+ Are pilot passes and camping passes separate tickets?
Yes. If you plan to camp at Flite Fest, please purchase a camping pass.
+ When can I arrive to set up?
Campers can check in August 5th 12-7p, daily check-in on August 6th, 7th and 8th will be 8am-7pm.
+ Are pets allowed?
Service animals are permitted at Flite Fest 2026. Pets that are not service animals are not authorized.
+ Will there be food at Flite Fest?
There will be food vendors available on-site.
+ Is alcohol served on the premises?
The use of alcohol is not permitted.
+ Can I bring my own food to Flite Fest?
Yes, of course!
+ Will there be restrooms available?
Yes, there will be public event restrooms on-site.
+ Will there be showers at the event?
Yes, there will be showers on-site at Flite Fest.
+ Are golf carts, electric scooters and bikes allowed?
Personal golf carts, scooters, e-scooters, bicycles, e-bikes, one-wheels, and similar vehicles are NOT permitted on-site. Staff-operated golf cart shuttles will be available for individuals with special needs.
+ Can I bring a wheelchair or mobility scooter?
Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted only with a valid state-issued disability placard and must remain on the designated path. Staff-operated golf cart shuttles will be available for individuals with special needs.
+ What kind of planes can I bring to Flite Fest?
In order to keep things simple, we ask that you only bring electric planes. Perhaps this will change for future events but we thank you for respecting this. We will have a sport line if you would like to have larger electric planes.
+ Can I bring my mulitrotor to Flite Fest?
Yes, You can! Line of sight only, no FPV allowed.
+ Can I bring my helicopter to Flite Fest?
Yes, You can! Line of sight only, no FPV allowed.
+ Can I fly FPV at Flite Fest?
FPV FLYING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED - FPV frequencies will be monitored at all times by WPAFB
+ Will there be a charging station for RC batteries?
There will be power outlets available in the Build Tents that you can use to charge your RC batteries only. But do not leave any batteries charging unattended. Unattended charging batteries will be disconnected by Flite Test Staff and Volunteers. Phones and other devices cannot be charged at these stations.
+ Will there be camping available?
Yes, there are tent camping and RV spots available. Please check the registration page.
+ Does my camping pass include my pilot pass?
No, please purchase both a pilot pass and a camping pass.
+ What is the size of a Tent Campsite?
20x20
+ What is the size of an RV Campsite?
20x50
+ Are there RV Hookups?
There are no RV Hookups at Flite Fest 2026.
+ Are generators allowed?
Yes! Small, quiet (Honda) generators are allowed at Flite Fest.
+ Are campfires allowed?
No, Campfires, charcoal grills and open flames are prohibited. Propane grills are permitted.
+ Are there other camping grounds nearby?
Yes, people can stay offsite, but the Flite Fest grounds will be closed every night with a strict no exit/entry policy.
REFUND POLICY
We understand that things come up and if you are unable to make it to our event, please let us know at least 30 weeks before the event starts and so that we can honor a refund. If a refund is requested after this date, we will not be able to process a refund.
